Midsummer Middlewich & Exile Music Festival
I have a couple of festivals booked for June this year, Midsummer Middlewich is 19th to the 21st June. I'm playing the John McAteer Folk Stage at the Newton Brewery Inn on Sunday 21st and then I'm playing at Exile Music Festival in Darley Dale on Saturday 27th.

Come and join multi instrumentalist Ian F Ball and a friend or two for an evening of folk music spanning three centuries.
After last year’s sell out concert Ian is once again coming to the Millgate, with his array of instruments and some friends to entertain you with songs and stories from the British Isles spanning the last 3 centuries.
With songs from his debut album ‘Better Late Than Never’ and his forthcoming CD ‘Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed’ there will be something for everyone.
There will also be a performance of ‘The Great Derbyshire Lead Rush’. Based upon the BBC TV series from the 1970s, ‘Ballads of the Northwest’, with songs and anecdotes it tells the story of the rise and fall of the Derbyshire Lead mining industry.

I open in ‘Nell Gwynn’ tomorrow at the Millgate Theatre in Delph.
I've spent the last few weeks rehearsing songs on the guitar, bouzouki and melodeon and writing incidental music.

Well ‘Educating Rita’ is well and truly over, so we move on to our next theatrical project which is arranging, writing and getting ready to perform on stage, some music for ‘Nell Gwynn’ at the Millgate Arts Centre.
