My Father’s Old Guitar
The song is, probably, a metaphor of the cycle of life and how things never truly die, as long as there is a memory.
My father bought this guitar in the year I was born, for me it's always been there. When I was a toddler, I'd strum it like a double bass and obviously still play today, but not necessarily on this old Hofner, the action is about ¼ inch high at the 12th fret!
The guitar does, however, make an appearance on this recording.
